Legal Opinion On CARES Act “Contractor” Provision
By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | April 13, 2020
With SAA members throughout the state raising questions regarding the “contractor” provision of the CARES Act, the SAA has worked with Attorney Mike Julka of the BoardmanClark Law Firm to provide as much guidance as is available on the issue. Please see the Memorandum Attorney Julka prepared for the SAA.
The SAA encourages all SAA members involved with the “contractor” issue in their districts to carefully review this memorandum. However, the information in this legal opinion is no substitute for consulting with your district legal counsel, and we encourage you to do so.
