180-Day Bill Passes Senate

SAA-supported legislation to remove the 180-day requirement (SB 589, as amended) passed the Senate on a voice vote yesterday. The Assembly companion bill (AB 749, as amended) is scheduled for Assembly floor action on Tuesday, March 18th. Concurrence in Senate action is expected.
