From WisPolitics:
DPI said 199 schools have qualified to participate in the state’s three school choice programs.
There is overlap in the schools participating in the Milwaukee program that are also able to accept kids who participate in the voucher program through Race or the statewide options. Racine schools can also accept kids through the statewide program.
DPI said:
- There are 122 schools in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program including 10 new schools.
- 20 schools are participating in the Racine program with five new ones compared to this school year. Three of the new schools are new to choice, while two are now participating in the Milwaukee choice program.
- 98 schools will accept students in the statewide program. That includes 31 continuing from the 2014-15 school year, 36 new schools and 31 now participating in the Milwaukee and Racine programs.
