Evers Statement on Supreme Court Case
By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | November 17, 2015
State Superintendent Tony Evers issued a statement today related to oral arguments before the Wisconsin Supreme Court on the constitutionality of the process for drafting and promulgating administrative rules contained in 2011 Wisconsin Act 21.
For additional information, please see the Department of Public Instruction’s news release here.
You may recall that last month the School Administrators Alliance (SAA) and the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) filed a “Friend of the Court” brief with the State Supreme Court in this case (Coyne v. Walker) requesting that the Court hold 2011 Wisconsin Act 21 unconstitutional and affirm the decision of the Court of Appeals. Our attorneys will also present oral arguments before the Court today.
