Assembly GOP Looks to Move Assembly Bill 1

Assembly Republicans are making modifications to Assembly Bill 1, their school accountability legislation, with the intention of moving the bill in the Assembly. The SAA anticipates an Assembly Education Committee vote perhaps as soon as March 12th with the bill going to the Assembly floor the following week. It still appears that the Senate and Assembly GOP are far apart on the legislation. And, let’s not forget that the Governor has his own accountability proposal in the budget bill.
