Sanfelippo: State Superintendent Should Be Appointed

State Representative Joe Sanfelippo (R-New Berlin) has circulated for co-sponsorship a proposed constitutional amendment to make the State Superintendent of Public Instruction an appointed, not elected, position. The SAA is following State Superintendent Evers and Senator Luther Olsen (R-Ripon), the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, in their opposition to the proposal.
