Assembly Start Date Bill Introduced
By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | February 28, 2017
A bill to repeal the September 1 school start date was introduced in the Assembly yesterday as Assembly Bill 103. The bill is authored by Representative Jim Ott (R-Mequon) and has been referred to the Assembly Education Committee, chaired by Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt (R-Fond du Lac). We anticipate that the Senate companion bill, authored by Senator Alberta Darling, will be introduced soon. The SAA will strongly support this bill.
